| On-line methanol measurements up to 40 g/L |
|
Braunschweig, April 4th, 2006 - A precise control of the methanol concentration is essential during the production period to guarantee a constant induction of the recombinant protein gene while preventing the accumulation of cytotoxic amounts of methanol.
Analysis methods like HPLC and GC are capable of measuring these methanol concentrations but are relatively expensive and problematic for on-line analysis.
The on-line analyser ProcessTRACE allows a rapid and precise determination of the methanol concentration of 0.5 to 7.5 g/L in the fermenter.
The application methanol has been extended due to an increased demand for a higher measuring range.
With the on-line analyser ProcessTRACE it is now possible to measure methanol in the range of 5 to 40 g/L.
You will find further technical details about the measurement of methanol in our latest application report.
